The Eagle and the Dove
The dove in flight-
An angel wisped away from a cloud,
She danced
In the Eagle's domain.
He watched, perched, as she was allowed
To prance.
The Eagle, amazed-
She took the sky with wild abandon;
A queen.
Her throne, Heaven.
She controlled the clouds, as random as
They seemed.
He took to flight-
Caressed her kingdom as he drifted
Just above
In perfect parallel.
He was astounded as to how beautiful
She was.
She was his-
And he was hers for as long as the days
Would pass.
Till time stands still
The two will own the heavenly skies.
ALAS!
